His Eminence was co-served by: rector of the Church of the Mother of God of All Who Sorrow, Archpriest Yevgeny Vorobyov; dean of the Ili Church District, Archpriest Alexander Zyryanov; head of the personal secretariat of the Metropolitan, Hieromonk Prokhor (Endovitsky); head of the administrative secretariat of the Head of the Metropolitan District, Priest Georgy Sidorov; key-keeper of the Kazan Cathedral, Priest Georgy Rublinsky; Hieromonk Cherubim (Levin); Protodeacon Nikolai Grinkevich; Head of the Metropolitan's Protocol Service, Protodeacon Roman Golovin; Protodeacon Vladimir Syrovatsky; Deacon Konstantin Volnyagin; Deacon Georgy Tkachenko; Deacon John Zhuchkov.

The choir of the Kazan Cathedral sang under the direction of M.S. Chistyakova.

Prayers were offered at the Liturgy for the repose of the ever-memorable His Holiness Patriarch Pimen. Under his Primate and with his blessing, on September 27, 1989, on the feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, the episcopal consecration of the future Head of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan took place in the Epiphany Patriarchal Cathedral in Yelokhovo in Moscow - the ordination of Archimandrite Alexander (Mogilev) as Bishop of Kostroma and Galich.

The sermon after the communion verse was delivered by Archpriest Alexander Zyryanov.

The Liturgy ended with the glorification of the Bright Resurrection of Christ, after which the Metropolitan Bishop pronounced the exclamation "Christ is risen!" in various languages, ancient and modern.

After the end of the service, the Head of the Metropolitan District addressed those present with a word of edification.
