Metropolitan Alexander presented the Hero of Labor of Kazakhstan Roza Rymbaeva with the Order “Beibitshilik pen Kelisim” (Peace and Concord)

In the fireplace hall of the spiritual, cultural and administrative center of the Kazakhstan Metropolitan District named after Metropolitan Joseph (Chernov), a meeting was held between Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan with the famous Kazakh singer, Hero of Labor of Kazakhstan Roza Kuanyshevna Rymbaeva.

Roza Rymbaeva is a legend of the Kazakh stage, an outstanding cultural figure, a famous teacher, People's Artist of the Kazakh SSR, Honored Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Honored Cultural Worker of the Kyrgyz Republic, laureate of the State Prize of Kazakhstan, holder of the orders "Otan", "Parasat", "Kurmet", " Dostyk" II degree; laureate of state and international awards.

The meeting with Rosa Kuanyshevna Rymbaeva was attended by: Secretary of the Kazakhstan Metropolitan District, Honored Artist of Russia O.N. Ovchinnikov; head of the Metropolitan’s personal secretariat, Hieromonk Prokhor (Endovitsky); head of the administrative secretariat of the Head of the Metropolitan District, Priest Georgy Sidorov; Head of the Metropolitan Protocol Service, Protodeacon Roman Golovin; Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation, Head of the Culture Department of the Kazakhstan Metropolitan District L.E. Goricheva; employees of the Alma-Ata diocesan administration.

The head of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan and Roza Kuanyshevna exchanged congratulations on Merry Christmas and the New Year.

The singer told the Metropolitan about her life path, musical and stage activities, which began in 1975 with work in the Republican youth pop ensemble “Gulder”. According to Roza Rymbaeva, her first major success came in 1977, when she participated in the All-Union television competition “With a Song Through Life,” brilliantly performing the song “Aliya,” dedicated to the hero of the Soviet Union, a girl who died during the Great Patriotic War, sniper Aliya Moldagulova. The artist shared her thoughts about her work: “Each song from my repertoire is performed in its own way, each has its own path. Each of them is associated with memories, memorable moments of life. Each song is a separate story. Each one is a part of my life. They are all different, but all loved. And the listener chooses something of his own, which I’m very happy about.”

The interlocutors devoted special attention to the topic of preserving interfaith and interethnic harmony in Kazakhstan. Roza Kuanyshevna emphasized: “Our country is unique. More than 130 nationalities live here in peace and prosperity. We live in mutual understanding among different ethnic groups, I think that during the formation of a new Kazakhstan it is necessary to increase the level of culture, health and education. A healthy nation, educated people, high culture, unity - this is the guarantee of the future prosperity of our country and the entire people.”

Metropolitan Alexander presented Rosa Kuanyshevna Rymbaeva with the highest award of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan - the Order of “Beibitshilik pen Kelisim” (Peace and Concord). The People's Artist was awarded a special sign of church attention for her outstanding contribution to the development of Kazakhstani culture and art, strengthening interethnic harmony and friendship.

The interlocutors emphasized the unifying role of culture and various types of art. According to the meeting participants, one of the original areas of international communication can be called contacts in the field of musical creativity and performing arts. As noted, singing, solo or choral, has enormous emotional power, capable of involving a large audience in communication and uniting people of different nationalities, religious affiliations and cultural traditions.

The People's Artist of Kazakhstan shared with Metropolitan Alexander her plans to open a cultural center, the work of which will be aimed at supporting talented young musicians.

In turn, the archpastor told the guest about the life of the Kazakhstan Metropolitan District, the implementation of church spiritual, educational, cultural and social charitable projects. The hierarch emphasized that the Orthodox Church is making efforts to strengthen the cultural and historical heritage of the country, also doing a lot of work to restore destroyed shrines, developing patriotism among the younger generation and instilling traditional moral values in young people. The archpastor especially noted the activities of the Metropolitan Choir under the direction of Honored Artist O.N. Ovchinnikov, who professionally works to preserve and develop the musical singing art of Kazakhstan, performing works of classical authors, folk Kazakh and Russian songs.

Metropolitan Alexander shared with Roza Rymbaeva plans to create in Astana a temple in honor of All Saints who shone on the land of Kazakhstan, as well as a spiritual and cultural center, where serious attention will be paid to the diversified education and upbringing of children and adolescents. The hierarch emphasized that the art of music plays a great role in activities for the intellectual and spiritual development of youth, for which it is planned to create a number of creative circles where youth will be able to discover and realize their performing talents.

At the end of the meeting, which took place in a friendly atmosphere, the participants exchanged wishes for health and well-being. In memory of the meeting, the Head of the Metropolitan District presented Rosa Kuanyshevna with a book-album telling about the spiritual and cultural pearl of Semirechye - the Ascension Cathedral of Alma-Ata, the history of its construction and full-scale scientific restoration, which the head of state K.-Zh.K. Tokayev called it “the second birth of a pan-Kazakh shrine.” Another gift from the hierarch was the books published by the Metropolitan District with the support of the public foundation “Apostle” in the Kazakh language - the Gospel of Matthew, the Psalter and the Proverbs of Solomon.
