Bishop Gennady spoke at the celebration of the 90th anniversary of the literary and artistic magazine of Kazakhstan “Prostor”

On December 14, 2023, a creative evening dedicated to the celebration of the 90th anniversary of the literary and art magazine of Kazakhstan “Prostor” took place at the House of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan in Almaty.

With the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan and at the invitation of the editor-in-chief of the publication F.F. Tamendarov, the event was attended by Bishop Gennady of Kaskelen, manager of the affairs of the Kazakhstan Metropolitan District, member of the Moscow Writers' Union.

"Prostor" is the oldest literary and artistic magazine in the country, published in Russian language, it is the printing organ of the Writers' Union of the Republic. Subjects of the magazine: poetry, prose, documentary prose.

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev sent greetings to the participants of the celebration.

The publication was also congratulated by the Kazakh poet, writer, public and political figure O. Suleimenov; representatives of the international Kazakh PEN club and the Institute of Literature and Art named after M.O. Auezova; members of the Assembly of Peoples of Kazakhstan, etc.

Between congratulatory speeches, Kazakh folk songs, kyuis and poems were performed on the stage of the assembly hall of the House of the Writers' Union of Kazakhstan.

Words of congratulations to the editor-in-chief of Prostor F.F. Bishop Gennady of Kaskelen gave a speech to Tamendarov and the participants of the celebration. The archpastor wished the publication's staff success in their work and read one of his spiritual creations.
