October 14, 2022. Moscow. Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan visited the National Medical Research Center of Otorhinolaryngology of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA) of Russia.
Within the walls of the institution, the director of the center Professor Nikolai Arkadyevich Daihes, met the hierarch.
N.A. Daihes is Vice President of the National Medical Association of Otorhinolaryngologists, Chief Freelance Otorhinolaryngologist of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Chief Freelance Otorhinolaryngologist of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA) of Russia, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation.
In the Nikolsky house Church of the Medical Research Center, Metropolitan Alexander celebrated the feast of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos and performed a prayer service for the sending down God's help to doctors and employees and for the healing of the sick. Prayers at the service: Professor N.A. Daihes, doctors, medical staff and patients.
In the presence of the director of the institution, Professor N.A. Daihes, management and staff of the center, the Head of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan, with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, presented a high church award to Professor Adnan Sultanovich Yunusov.
Professor A.S. Yunusov - Head of the Scientific and Clinical Department of Pediatric ENT Pathology of the Center for Otorhinolaryngology of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation - was awarded the II degree Order of St. Luke, Confessor, Archbishop of Crimea by decree of His Holiness (No. April 4, 2021) "in consideration of the contribution to the development of the medical ministry and in connection with the 65th anniversary of the birth."
Presenting the high award, Metropolitan Alexander, in particular, noted: “Adnan Sultanovich is a native of Kazakhstan. His small homeland is the Alma-Ata village of Burundai. For forty years he has been sacrificially working at the National Medical Research Center for Otorhinolaryngology of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency of Russia and he is rightfully called the main children's ENT in our country. As a high professional in his field and a person who believes in God, he takes care not only of the physical, but also of the spiritual health of his patients.”
Addressing A.S. Yunusov, Vladyka Metropolitan said: “I happened to be a witness to the results of your successful work in the field of healthcare and I personally convinced of your many talents and your inherent qualities: diligence, responsible approach to performing tasks, sensitive and attentive attitude towards patients, most of whom are children . May the Creator of this world give you His help in all good deeds and good undertakings and keep you for many years.”
Adnan Sultanovich warmly thanked Metropolitan Alexander and asked the archpastor to convey his deep gratitude to His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia for the high award and appreciation of his work.
Professor A.S. Yunusov has been working in the healthcare sector since 1979. He has performed over 38,000 ENT surgeries. Under the leadership of Adnan Sultanovich 36 children who suffered as a result of the tragedy in the city of Beslan in 2004 were successfully operated on and rehabilitated. He is the author of more than 400 scientific papers, 21 patents for inventions, a guide to pediatric otorhinolaryngology, a 2-volume otorhinolaryngology guide, 11 methodological developments, 3 monographs on the prevention and treatment of diseases of the ENT organs. Proceedings of A.S. Yunusov were awarded state awards of the Russian Federation.
