The head of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan visited the National Medical Research Center of Otolaryngology of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency of Russia

September 10, 2024. Moscow. Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan visited the National Medical Research Center of Otolaryngology of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA) of Russia.
The hierarch was met by the director of the institution, Professor Nikolai Arkadyevich Daikhes.
N.A. Daikhes is the vice-president of the National Medical Association of Otolaryngologists, the chief specialist in otolaryngology of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, the chief specialist in otolaryngology of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA) of Russia, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation.
In the Nikolskaya house church of the medical research center, Metropolitan Alexander performed a prayer service for the sending of God's help to doctors and employees and for the healing of the sick.
The hierarch bowed to the shrines of the temple - icons with particles of the relics of the great martyr and healer Panteleimon, Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker, Saint and physician Luke, Archbishop of Crimea, Blessed Matrona of Moscow, the ark with a piece of the Holy Sepulcher of the Lord.
After visiting the temple, Metropolitan Alexander and N.A. Daikhes had a conversation, during which the head of the medical research center shared with the archpastor the results of the institution's activities for the summer of 2024.
His Eminence told Nikolai Arkadyevich about the life of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan, which is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Astana and Alma-Ata Diocese this year. The hierarch informed his interlocutor that as part of the celebration of the memorable date, a revered relic – a reliquary with the relics and robe of the blessed old woman Matrona of Moscow – would be brought to Kazakhstan with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill. The head of the Metropolitan District invited the professor to attend the celebrations, which would take place in Astana from September 27 to 29.
The professor and the Head of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan discussed plans for further cooperation in the field of pastoral care of medical personnel and patients by the clergy of the Church of the Martyrs Vera, Nadezhda, Lyubov and Sophia on Miusakh, and the development of relations between the Scientific and Clinical Center and the Medical Center of the Kazakhstan Metropolitan District named after St. Luke (Voina-Yasenetsky) in Almaty.
