The pilgrimage visit of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan to the Belarusian Exarchate has ended

August 8, 2024. The pilgrimage visit of the Head of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan, Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, to the Belarusian Exarchate has ended.

The Primate of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan was accompanied by: Archbishop Amfilohiy of Ust-Kamenogorsk and Semipalatinsk and employees of the departments and commissions of the Metropolitan District, headed by O.N. Ovchinnikov, Honored Artist of Russia.

From August 4 to 8, at the invitation of Metropolitan Veniamin of Minsk and Zaslavl, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus, Metropolitan Alexander and the Kazakh pilgrimage delegation visited the shrines of the Belarusian land.

The head of the Metropolitan District bowed to the miraculous icons of the Queen of Heaven, sanctifying White Rus' with their presence - Zhirovichi, Minsk and Belynichi; led the celebrations dedicated to Saint George (Konissky), Archbishop of Mogilev; visited the Minsk Theological Academy and Seminary, St. Elisabeth Monastery and the memorial church in honor of All Saints; visited places associated with the life of the confessor of faith and ascetic of piety - Metropolitan Joseph (Chernov).

At the shrines of Belarus, the Metropolitan offered prayers for the archpastors, pastors, monastics and laity of the Kazakhstan Metropolitan District, for the peace and prosperity of the Kazakhstan land, the President, authorities, army and people of the Republic.

During the visit, Metropolitan Alexander met with Metropolitan Veniamin of Minsk and Zaslavl and the episcopate of the Belarusian Exarchate, with the leadership of the Theological Schools, clergy, and with the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Belarus T.M. Zhaksylykov.

On August 8, Metropolitan Alexander was seen off at the international airport of Minsk by the Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus.
