A concert dedicated to the 170th anniversary of the founding of the Cathedral of Constantine and Helena took place in Astana

In the capital of the Republic, with the blessing of the Head of the Kazakhstan Metropolitan District, Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, celebrations are taking place on the occasion of the historical date - the 170th anniversary of the founding of the cathedral in the name of Equal-to-the-Apostles Kings Constantine and Helena.
As part of the celebration, a concert was held on the cathedral square for parishioners and guests, including Metropolitan Alexander, dean of the Astana church district Archimandrite Sergius (Karamyshev), the clergy of the Astana and Alma-Ata diocese, patrons and benefactors of the cathedral.
The event was attended by: Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan O.V. Perepechina, Chairman of the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan E. Nukezhanov, Deputy Akim of the city of Astana E.B. Baiken.
The Primate of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan delivered a welcoming speech to those gathered. The archpastor congratulated the organizers of the program, creative teams and those present on the bright holiday of the saving Easter of God and the 170th anniversary of the founding of the oldest church in the capital.
The musical program was opened by pupils of the Sunday school of the Constantine and Helen Cathedral, performing hymns in honor of the Resurrection of Christ, the Most Holy Theotokos and Equal-to-the-Apostles Kings Constantine and Helen.
The capital's musical groups performed at the concert: the children's creativity studio "Bala time", the Cossack folk choir "Stanichniki" named after Viktor Ivanov, the children's creativity studio "La Dance Complex", the children's Russian song ensemble "Bee" and the youth ensemble of Russian and Cossack songs "Zarnitsa" "
A variety of vocal performances alternated with folk and modern dances; performances by children's and youth groups - with adult performers.
