
Participants of the Tsevnitsa school were awarded diplomas as winners of the IV International Church Singing Olympics

March 27, 2024. Alma-Ata. At the end of the solemn service in the Ascension Cathedral, dedicated to the celebration in honor of the Theodore Icon of the Mother of God, awards were presented to the students of the Tsevnitsa church singing school at the main temple of the southern capital.
With the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, the children's choir under the direction of regent Natalia Golovina became a prize-winner of the IV International Church Singing Olympiad for Children and Youth. The creative competition took place in one round on the basis of church institutions (Sunday schools, church singing schools, etc.).
The award ceremony was led by the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan.
The names of the winners were announced by the sacristan of the Ascension Cathedral, the head of the Metropolitan District’s public relations department, Archpriest Alexander Suvorov and the spiritual mentor of “Tsevnitsa,” Archpriest Alexander Ievlev.
The young winners of the competition received certificates from the Children's Department of the Moscow Synodal Choir. Awards were presented to:
Bykova Sofia, Butina Victoria, Bykov Ivan – 1st place;
Nelli Kulmakhanova, Anastasia Shepel, Polina Mamotenko, Varvara Khutorova – 2nd place.
On behalf of the musical group, words of gratitude were expressed by the regent of the children's choir N. Golovina.
At the end of the event, all children were given gifts.
