The head of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan performed a funeral litany for those killed as a result of the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall concert hall

March 23, 2024. Alma-Ata. In the Alexander Nevsky Chapel of the spiritual, cultural and administrative center of the Metropolitan District named after Metropolitan Joseph (Chernov), the Head of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan, Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, performed a funeral litany for those killed as a result of the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall concert hall.

Praying at the lithium were: Secretary of the Metropolitan District, Honored Artist of Russia, member of the Church and Public Council under the Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus' for the development of Russian church singing O.N. Ovchinnikov; heads of diocesan departments and commissions; employees of the Alma-Ata diocesan administration; Abbess Lyubov (Yakushkina) of the Iversko-Seraphim Convent with the sisters of the monastery.

Prayers were offered “for the repose of the newly deceased servants of God, innocently killed in a terrorist attack in Krasnogorsk, for their sins, voluntary and involuntary, to be forgiven.”
