Bishop Vianor met with the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Uralsk

On March 17, 2024, in the building of the representative office of the Consulate of the Russian Federation, a meeting was held between Bishop of Ural and Atyrau Vianor with Consul General of the Russian Federation in Uralsk A.V. Grubym.
The meeting was attended by: Archpriest Vladimir Gerasim, dean of the Ural Church District, Archimandrite Dionysius (Kozulev) and employees of the diplomatic mission.
During the conversation, an exchange of views took place on a wide range of issues relating to the role of traditional religions in the life of modern society. Bishop Vianor quoted the words of the President of Kazakhstan K.-Zh.K. Tokayev, with which the head of state defined priorities in the public life of the Republic: “Strengthening interethnic harmony is one of the cornerstones of the sustainable development of our country.”
According to mutual opinion, Kazakhstan is an example of peaceful coexistence of representatives of different nations and followers of different religions both in the post-Soviet space and on a more global scale.
The meeting participants discussed the interaction of the Ural Diocese, the Consulate General of Russia, public and ethnocultural associations in the region.
The hierarch noted the high level of relations between the Metropolitan District and the Embassy of the Russian Federation and Russian diplomatic missions in Kazakhstan.
The parties exchanged souvenirs and good wishes.
The meeting took place in a warm atmosphere.
